Frequently asked questions.

HOW DO I ORDER?

  • Visit our Shop and select the pack that best suits your needs.

If it’s your first time ordering, we recommend starting with a Quarter Pack — it’s a great introduction and suits most households.

Further details about each pack, including inclusions and approximate size, can be found within each product listing.

  • Beef packs are prepared in scheduled batches throughout the year.

During the ordering process in our shop, you’ll be asked to select your preferred month for your beef pack to be ready. If your timing is flexible, choose “Next Available Delivery” and we’ll allocate your order to the next available batch.

If you need your beef pack by a specific date, please leave a note in the order comments at checkout. While we can’t guarantee all dates, we’ll do our best to accommodate your request and will contact you if there are any issues.

  • During checkout, you’ll be prompted to enter your delivery address so we can confirm whether your postcode is eligible for delivery.

Orders are transported by a Meat Safe–accredited company in refrigerated trucks to the following destinations:

    • Victoria-wide

    • Select postcodes in QLD, NSW, and ACT

If convenient, free pickup is also available from Rosedale Butchers, which can be selected during checkout.

If you’d like further information, or wish to request delivery outside of these postcodes, please contact us.

  • Once your deposit is placed, you’ll receive an automated confirmation email from Squarespace confirming your order.

Shortly after, we’ll manually send a separate email from bmbeef@outlook.com with a link to your cut preference form.

  • Fill out the cut selection form (received via email), to customise your pack to your needs. This allows you to choose how your meat is prepared and portioned to suit your household (e.g., 2 or 4 people).

To help you decide, we’ve put together a guide to our beef cuts.

Important: The form cannot be saved, so you’ll need to complete it in one go.

  • Once your deposit is received, your order is placed in our processing queue and an animal is allocated to you. Your position in the queue depends on the month you selected for your pack or, if you chose “Next Available Delivery,” your order will be allocated to the next available batch.

As a small, family-owned farm, we only process cattle once they are spoken for and have reached their target weight.

  • When the animal reaches its ideal condition, it is processed and the carcass delivered to Rosedale Butchers. After processing, the meat is dry-aged for a minimum of 8–10 days, which is essential for flavour and tenderness.

    This step cannot be rushed.

  • Collection from Rosedale Butchers:
If you’ve chosen to collect your beef, we’ll communicate with you about when you can visit and pick up your order.

    Delivery to your address:

If you have opted to have your beef beef delivered via our network of couriers:

    • Orders are collected from our butcher on a Wednesday and shipped on weekdays only.

    • They are sent to our Dandenong depot, sorted, and assigned delivery dates based on location.

    • Deliveries may arrive the same day or within a maximum of 7 days.

    • Items are transported by a Meat Safe–accredited company in refrigerated trucks.

    • Tracking details are provided so you can monitor your order.

Your beef will arrive carefully packed and ready for your freezer.

  • As a small, family-owned farm, we raise and process our cattle with care. Preparation time depends on where our animals are in the finishing process, your position in the queue, and a range of other factors such as weather conditions, seasonal demand, and processing schedules.

We only process cattle once they are spoken for and have reached their target weight. After processing, we allow a minimum hanging time of 8–10 days to ensure maximum flavour and tenderness.

There are many variables that can influence the timeline, but our priority is always delivering the best possible product. We recommend placing your order early to avoid delays and secure your spot in the queue.

beef quality & Standards

  • All our cattle are processed and graded by MSA (Meat Standards Australia). MSA grading guarantees the highest quality beef, and the results are provided with your order for full transparency.

By adhering to MSA Standards, we can confidently guarantee that our beef meets premium-grade criteria. For full transparency, the official MSA grading results are included in your order – so you can see the quality for yourself.

  • We exclusively run pure Black Angus cattle, verified by Angus Australia. Our premium quality comes from exceptional genetics, careful raising, and a high standard of animal care.

  • Our cattle are 100% grass-fed throughout life. Depending on the season, we may supplement their diet with a grain-free or specialised grain mix to meet processing dates while maintaining consistent high quality.

  • No. Our cattle are raised on-farm with 100% traceability and no unnecessary additives or treatments.

packaging & Product Details

  • Your beef will arrive vacuum-sealed (cryovac) to lock in freshness and ensure an extended shelf life. Cuts are generally portioned to suit a family of four, making storage and meal prep convenient and efficient.
